Hi guys,

Has anybody here built with this wood (Macassar Ebony) and care to share their experiences?

Cheers,
Warren

John Osthoff has built a few from MacEbony. Very nice wood. Hopefully he will chime in. It has received some great reviews by some players I believe.

I'm waiting for finish to cure on my Macasser SJ, so still no report on how
it sounds, however, It's great to work with. I Hope to post some pics
around the holiday.

Yep.   I have built 3 with it and love it. The 4th one I bent the sides over the
weekend. Easy to work with. Picts are posted on the auction thread for
Kevin. The guitars sound great. (Well 2 of the 3) The 000-12 and the 0M
14 are great. The parlor is not what I like, but it was my own design the
problem is more in the design not the wood. I am taking it to the Somogyi
course in Feb for the master to tell me how to make one like it better.
